Winter Chapter Party
&
3D Stereo Gadget Show and Tell

Our Chair Mike Pique has once again generously agreed to let us hold our Winter Chapter Party at a cabin in the Palomar Mountains which he co-owns, so that we may enjoy the great outdoors, cozy fireplace, possibly some snow, and a 3D Stereo Gadget Show and Tell. Bring your own gadets, old and new. A protoype InfiniteZ 3D Stereo PC Display on loan from Mindtel and Human Interface Prototypes will be in attendance.

From San Diego, go north on I-15 past Escondido to Highway 76 eastbound. Follow Highway 76 about 25 miles, past Pala. Take a left on County Road S-6, signposted "Palomar Mountain", you will ascend about 2500 feet in the next 7 miles; drive cautiously.

Take a right on County Road S-7, signposted "Lake Henshaw", go about 1000 feet and turn left just beyond the fire station, on Crestline Road, signposted "Palomar County Park". Be watchful for fast oncoming traffic as you make this left turn. You will ascend another 500 feet in the next mile. You will soon pass the turnoff for the County Park, keep going straight. The road will crest the summit, dip down, then ascend past antennas. Just past the historic Lodge (on your left) you will reach the end of the paved road, and another antenna farm. Take a right at the yellow and red reflectors onto the gravel "Birch Hill Road".
