This month we are departing from our usual overview presentation format, and offering an in-depth programming tutorial for our members. Local Java graphics pundit Wayne Holder has agreed to teach this 90-minute example-intensive seminar on how you can use just the Java JDK -- no Java3D or VRML -- to do simple but powerful and flexible 2D and 3D graphics for use to visualize data and structures, display simulations, and build interactive games.
PLUS a Special Bonus: a sneak preview of the ACM SIGGRAPH International Conference in San Antonio this coming July -- the 18-minute video SIGGRAPH 2002 Compilation Tape: Computer Animation Festival, Papers, Emerging Technologies, Art Gallery has been loaned to our chapter by special arrangement.
